Why Don't You

Hook:
Why don’t you, ever do what you say that you’re gonna do,
Anything that goes wrong is not because of you,
You just blame everything on somebody else,
It’s never on yourself

Verse 1:
Why are you lookin at me, you say it’s my fault,
No it couldn’t be,
Excuse me, I know what I’m doin,
Why you always tryna figure out what I’m doin?
If he would’ve, she should’ve, then we could’ve,
You know what I mean?
I can’t carry the whole team,
Folks ain’t workin’ as hard as they seem

Seems like you’re the only one talkin’ that explains why the finger points directly at you,
You want acknowledgment for everything that you do,
But when the belt skips a loop we’re stuck playin guess who,
Leaders lose a game they stand up and take blame,
But when you take an “L” you stand up and take aim at,
Any and everybody, so many get hit,
But yourself you acquit, cuz the glove never fits

Verse 2:
First 16 bars of verse 2 written and recorded by A. Regis “k-Drama” Jones

You see an obvious need, and you’ve got it in you to help,
But you turn you back, because you’re only worried about yourself,
It’s clear the ship is sinkin, others try to fix it quick,
So afraid to take a dip, you’re the first to abandon ship,
Not only that, you taunt the ones actually workin,
And you won’t lift a finger to put any kind of work in,
Quit searchin, for ways out of what you’re supposed to do,
Everybody sees you’ve got a problem, why don’t you?

Where Can You Hide

Hook:
 Where, can you find,
A place to get a way from the chains of time,
When, it’s time to die,
Tell me exactly where, can you hide?

Verse 1:
It’d be a lie if I told you that I never thought of death,
Finally comin’ to rest after a life full of stress,
Or reachin’ distress, after a life full of sex and lies,
Heart full of pride, walkin round’ wit haughty eyes,
Hard-headed guys, that seems all we grow up to be,
What’s one, we gotta catch every fish in the sea,
So many long gone from catchin’ HIV,
Didn’t we all say one time that “it won’t be me”
But death’s got a radar, and no matter where you are,
I guarantee you’re never too far from bein’ a target,
Whether you’re soft as cake or straight up the hardest,
Whether you’re real or fake, it never takes a bargain,
Whether you’re dead broke or a millionaire,
Check the record, it’s a lot of dead billionaires,
For all those walkin’ round’ like you’re never gone’ die,
Answer this question for me, where can you hide?

Verse 2:
Are the moon and the stars out of God’s jurisdiction,
Does the sun extend farther than His knowledge and wisdom?
Where can one go to be out of the reach of judgment,
Safe from the grave’s grip with no need to repent?
Can fame, shepherd through the dark in death’s valley,
Untouched and unafraid of what will come to be?
Can your crew stop death’s hand, will they be by your side,
To protect you and keep you from ever seeing demise?
Tell me what man has, is there but one left,
That wrestled death and still managed to walk away with his breath?
Death doesn’t wither, so if you did get a W,
Trust in your weak days it’ll be back for round 2,
It’s one immutable truth, common relation amongst men,
All must die, all must come to an end,
Whether you know it or not, you’re just standing in line,
Waiting to look in the eye of a judge on high

I Don't Play All The Time

Hook:
Why do they think I play around in everything I say,
Just because I’m a jokin’ man, doesn’t mean I’m always jokin’ fam,
If you don’t ever draw line the jokes on you,
There can’t be fun in everything that you do,
A yo I do play – sometimes
But I rep Christ  – all the time
I crack up – sometime
I compromise – no time
I shine my light – all the time
Ready for work – anytime
Bottom line, I don’t play all the time

Verse 1:
I ain’t yo average artist,
And I ain’t yo average saint,
I live for Christ,
But that doesn’t mean I can’t,
Undo my top button and let my hair down,
Cut up with the fellas or just go out and clown,
In a safe-zone, and not out of bounds,
I know my boundaries, so I have fun in my ministry,
But since I’m not leapin in a spiritual facility,
Stompin on the enemy,
Some just color me silly and think that that’s all to me,
So when they talk to me,
They assume silliness never switches to serious,
Just because I may giggle at the end of a sentence,
Doesn’t mean that I’m not tryna encourage repentance,
Trust me, I never take off the Spirit of the Son,
There’s a time to have fun, and a time to get it done
So you can act blind when I let my light shine,
You understand just fine, I don’t play all the time

No Stage Name

Hook:
No stage name needed, just the flame and the cause,
I carry the Cross, cuz Christ Jesus is Boss, of all bosses,
The cost of Salvation is paid,
Bloodshed meant to Save from the Lamb who was slain,
No stage name needed, just the flame and the cause,
I carry the Cross, cuz Christ Jesus is Boss, of all bosses,
Look at me and know that I'm changed,
Only name that I need is the one that He gave

Verse 1:
Let me introduce myself for those who don't know me,
I slayed myself so I could live holy, the old me,
Had to go, not for show, but my Christ-volume was turned down super low,
Had to boost it way up, drop the worldy stuff,
Satan was in my face, had to call his bluff,
Actin tough, but I found out that he ain't rough,
Only could see that once Bracey had enough

Well enough was enough for me,
There came a time I had enough of me,
Screwin everything up for me,
The only one I could blame was me,
I turned around, only thing I could see was me,
I, had to find a way to free myself,
In my heart, Lord, I need Your help,
Take away my identity,
The only name I need's the one You gave to me,

Verse 2:
Those who knew me would tell you that I was all about me,
I just couldn't see,
Until I really "g-o-t G-O-D,"
I got to Him, by way of "JC" who gave me the "HG"
That did a new thang within "MB"
I used to rely totally on "m-e"
Thought I was strong carryin' on, but so fast I got weak,
I looked down and saw footprints movin across the beach,
And arms lifted me above so the flood could never reach,
Who is the one of whom I speak?
If you don't know who I'm talkin' bout' when I lyrically preach,
Everything that He taught, understand that's all that I teach,
Just to be a step closer to the one I beseech,
He's the Ancient of Days, the Lamb that was slain,
And you can't take that to the bank, He didn't die in vain,
Yes, I share in His glory, cuz I also share in His pain,
Got my share of eternal life cuz I believe in His name.

Verse 3:
People ask me how I changed my attitude,
They say, "Bracey, ain't ya' friends mad at you?"
Do they hate you cuz you up and changed ya' game,
and left street fame just to take Jesus' name,
I say, "I realized I'm not my own,
That I'm passin' thru, this is not my home."
Nothin' this world could ever give to me,
Could be better than knowing that He lives in me,

And I live through Him, when I sing or I spit,
My fuse is lit, He's the heat behind all of my hits,
Got my soul out the grave, now my name's on The List,
And I preach a Free Gift on licks from Platinum Tips,
"Who's Platinum Tips?"
"He's that dude that made that beat for Bracey, that joint is crazy,
Yo ain't you Bracey?"
"Yeah"
"Dude!  Man your tracks amaze me!"
"Me? Man, yo it's all cuz of Jesus baby!"

Breakdown:
Why do I need a stage name when I can come in His name,
Call me what you want, I ain't nothin but a slave,
Unashamed and I proclaim that I love my chains,
I ain't worried bout a thang, so , I'ma keep it plain. - 2x

I Have Faith

Hook:
 I will, behold Your face,
Witness Your grace,
I have faith,
That one day,
I will leave this place
To find eternity, with You

Verse 1:
I heard, the Master calling me,
And I answered Him humbly,
I can hear the voice of the Lord,
Asking me, if I believe, that
Through Christ, I can do all things,
By His stripes we are healed,
And His blood redeems,
I know Lord, You came to make a change,
Not to condemn, but to save, and
It’s because You live I proclaim

Verse 2:
Lord Your love is everlasting, and doesn’t change,
You took ahold of me, and you rearranged,
My whole life, and I won’t be afraid,
God You’re worthy of the praise,
Joyful Lord unto Thee we raise,
Everything we are, Father You’ve brought us so far,
I’m in You, You’re in me, and I have victory,
What You say Lord, I know will come to pass,
I will follow Your path,
I won’t turn from this faith I have

Bridge: [Steps of The Just]

Verse 3:
In what You do for me,
In Your sovereignty,
I honor You because,
You’re so holy,
Beginning and the End,
On You I can depend,
Because in me You’ve made,
Such a difference,
I’m overjoyed to say,
I’ll one day see Your face,
Take off my shoes and walk,
Around the Holy Place,
When I couldn’t pay,
Lord You took up my case,
You’ve given me every reason,
To always have faith

You Remembered Me

Hook:
I want the world to see,
What You mean to me,
Before my time, when You died
You had Your mind on me,
You remembered me,
You didn’t leave me out of Your plan for eternity,
Lord I’m stuck on You,
Can’t get enough of You,
You’re the One each day I’m drawin’ closer to,
Just to hear You speak, or to see Your face,
There’s nothin’ I wouldn’t do

Verse 1:
How can they not believe,
You’re who You say You are,
All the signs and miracles,
All the wonders impossible,
To someone who was only flesh and blood,
Nothin’ more than a man,
Have mercy on those who walk blindly,
And I pray one day they’ll understand

Verse 2:
All power and authority,
In Your hand when You rose from the grave,
You cared enough to set me free,
When sin had me enslaved,
For Your forgivness, I’m eternally greatful,
And, You’ll always be the arms I’m runnin’ to,
Cuz I know You are able Lord

Bridge:
Your life you sacrificed for me,
So I could live eternally,
And I give it all back to You
Lord Jesus I owe You me – 2x

Bridge End:
Your life you sacrificed for me,
So I could live eternally,
And I give it all back to You
Lord Jesus I owe You me -2x

Stand 4 U (remix)

Hook:
Because I know Your Word is True (I’m gone stand 4 U)
Even when they tell me that ain’t cool (I’m gone stand 4 U)
Even when I look like a fool (I’m gone stand 4 U)
For all the times that You brought me through (I’m gone stand 4 U)

Verse 1:
Even though things change,
It’s funny how the game remains the same,
The main thing we want to obtain,
That green-electricity,
The power and money are one in the same
And in men there’s a flame,
That won’t go out until these things are gained,
Findin’ nothin’ but pain, searchin’ for fortune and fame,
Sacrifice love, sacrifice trust, forget loyalty just to get cash in a rush,
Don’t let us see a chance to blow,
A quick hello to cash-flow sends faith out the window,
We already know that it all falls down,
But to be on top of the mound we settle for a temporary crown,
And it’s like bein’ king for a day cuz
When ya’ large they love you, when ya’ ain’t they hate ya’,
It seems we’d rather settle for less,
Than to make right usefulness out of the things which we’ve been blessed,
I wonder why we sell our soul,
To gain a world that soon swirls and ends up in a hole,
It’s cuz we want all-control,
But we get mad, at God because we can’t have it,
Well I, ain’t ya’ average, so you can take your dreams,
Of fame without the Lord aboard and row em’ up the stream,
It’s all a bunch of steam, cuz my idea of cream means
Christ rules everything around me

Verse 2:
Live a lie if you want to,
Cuz when it comes down to it man ya livin ya life just how you want to,
You made a choice and didn’t know what you were choosin’
Thought you made a winning choice, well why are you losin’,
The plan and the methods you usin’ got flaws, so you fall,
But I’m tellin’ you life don’t pause,
It just keeps movin on, so you sing a sad song of desperation
But when I’m down, there’s no hesitation,
To go before the King of all nations,
He sits high and looks low, up in Heaven where He’s stationed,
He told me I need only be patient,
In war and remain calm cuz He will fight for me,
Tell me why if He’s standin’ on my behalf,
That I wouldn’t rep Him with all that I have,
I stand for Him like no other,
I’d die for Him like my mother, or brother
I carry my cross daily cuz He paid the cost,
For me to live forever, so I’ll endure through whatever,
Trials come my way, you can’t bend my faith,
I’m on fire, in His name and I smile,
Because if I light a match in His presence
You’ll see a flame for miles,
I’ve been down for Christ for a while,
And He’s never let me down, so why would I change my style,
Hold down streets, thuggin’, whatever you please,
But God’s clogged my arteries like some heart disease,
So there’s just no way I can freeze,
When in Him I move and have my bein’ and I’m forseein’ the best,
My love for God’s like a G on my chest,
Like superman, I might not have the rest,
But you can see who I rep
